Conditions
Half board accommodation in a single or double room with breakfast and evening meals.
Rate
Short-term stay of up to 4 months: 28 euros per person a day, i.e. 196 euros for a 7-day week.
Long term stay of 4 months or more: 575 euros per month.
General rules
The host and the student will endeavour to communicate in French. However, the family will adapt to any difficulties encountered by a beginner.
The student will adapt to the host family's way of life.
The host and the student will keep one another informed of any absence (at dinnertime or on the weekend…) and if necessary, leave a number where they can be contacted.
The family is not under obligation to serve lunch at the weekend; they will however allow the student to use the kitchen.
Family's obligations
On arrival :
The host will meet their guest at the station or airport on arrival. They will help the student when he or she arrives in Bordeaux with any useful and practical information that might be needed (accompany him/her on the first day to Ecole de Français d’Aquitaine, provide him/her with tramway timetables…)
The room :
The host will supply bed linen and towels. The washing machine, ironing equipment, vacuum cleaner and cleaning products will be made available to their guest and their use explained.
The telephone :
The host will allow their guest to receive incoming calls.
Student's obligations
On arrival :
If the students wishes to be met on arrival, he or she is directly responsible for informing his host at least 4 days before his arrival (date, times, train, plane… ).
The room :
The student will keep the room clean and tidy (make the bed, empty the wastepaper baskets, use the vacuum cleaner) and will ask the host how and when to use the laundry facilities, vacuum cleaner etc...
The telephone :
The student will not receive too many personal calls at his host’s house.
Booking
When you confirm your booking, the Aquitaine School of French let you know your host’s address.
You will pay the accommodation fees to your family on the day you arrive.
Confidentiality
L’Ecole de Français d’Aquitaine is rigorously committed to protecting their hosts’ and students’ personal data. Identity, address and contact information for students and their host families will be provided only after receipt of the booking deposit for the course
